First steps

Violet began walking last Thursday! She has been able to stand on her own for a little while but refused to even budge her feet an inch if she wasn't holding on to something. We finally coaxed a few steps out of her, and what do you know, she now loooves to walk. Last night while we were watching the Olympics she just practiced over and over back and forth in the living room, occasionally veering off to toddle into the kitchen or the dining room. She now is walking to get places instead of just walking for "show." Still not the steadiest, but I predict by the time we're in DE in 3 weeks she'll be unstoppable. (Yay for learning to walk right before a long airplane trip.... oh wait.) Here's a video of one of her very earliest walking attempts this past weekend.

I put together an adorable video of clips from the past few months, but for some reason it WILL NOT LOAD. Argh. We'll keep trying.
